Airmen of the 908th Airlift Wing,

Chief and I thought we were due for another wing update. Please see the attached notes from senior Air Force leadership. We would like this update to be a little different, instead of us updating you; we would like you to update us. We will pass out information Friday during the Pre-UTA Meeting and again during the UTA weekend about what is going on in the wing, but we want to hear from you and what's going on with you.

One of the things we miss most about not having many of you on base because of the Secretary of Defense travel restrictions during this pandemic, is not being able to shake your hand, tell you how much we appreciate you serving in the 908th and hearing how you are doing. As you and your family deal with COVID-19 in your household, is there anything you need help with? If so, maybe the wing or one of our helping agencies can assist directly. If not directly, maybe we can help you find someone who can. Please let us know by contacting a supervisor, using the chain of command, use the 908 AW App or "Ask the Commander". If none of that works, call 334-953-9080 and get me on the line so we can see if we can help.

As a country, we are currently experiencing a great deal of civil unrest. If this unrest is affecting you and/or your families /communities, please let us know if there is something we can do to help. If an airman experienced a death in the family or a tragedy like a house fire or storm damage, once the wing knew about it you would have hundreds of wingmen ready to help. If you or your family are being adversely affected by this unrest, let us know, we would like to help.

Starting last August, I visited each and every unit at least once to discuss a topic that is very near and dear to my heart; ensuring that each and every Airman feels included. I renew my pledge to you that Chief Cornett and I will do everything in our power to make sure we are all operating on a level playing field. If seen or perceived barriers are being placed in front of some Airmen, we need to know about it so we can help remove those barriers to ensure EVERYONE has the same opportunity to succeed.

I was eligible to retire years ago, I continue to serve in uniform because I love serving our country and I love helping you all grow, develop and succeed as airmen. My goal every day is that you are as proud of the 908 AW and the Air Force as I am of you. Let Chief and I know what we can do to get better as a wing - Aim High 908th.

V/R,
