908 family member survives Fort Hood shooting
Major Randy Royer of the Alabama Army National Guard takes and his brother, Sergeant David Royer Master Sergeant David Royer of the 908th Airlift Wing, enjoy a walk outdoors during Major Royer’s recuperation following the tragic Nov. 5 shooting at Fort Hood. The major was wounded twice, but pulled to saftey before the gunman could fire again. Sergeant Royer, even after a full day's work, drove 14 hours to Texas to be at his brother's side.
