WEBVTT 00:07.139 --> 00:08.695 A basic overview of what we 00:08.695 --> 00:10.699 accomplished is kind of a back to 00:10.699 --> 00:14.479 basics to get on um . Up to speed with 00:14.479 --> 00:16.479 the rest of the unit , a lot of our 00:16.479 --> 00:18.590 more experienced , uh , defenders are 00:18.590 --> 00:20.270 out there , uh , doing , uh , 00:20.280 --> 00:22.391 deployments and things like that . So 00:22.391 --> 00:24.799 we just did a basics of our air base 00:24.799 --> 00:26.966 ground defense , the classroom setting 00:26.966 --> 00:28.966 and talking about all of our , uh , 00:28.966 --> 00:31.077 tactics and techniques and procedures 00:31.229 --> 00:33.340 and then moving out and putting it in 00:33.340 --> 00:35.479 practice out in the field and then we 00:35.479 --> 00:37.535 also moved into a nighttime phase of 00:37.535 --> 00:40.450 our training . um , had our , our 00:40.450 --> 00:42.339 airmen here get a hold of all the 00:42.339 --> 00:44.283 equipment that , uh , they will be 00:44.283 --> 00:46.228 using throughout their career as a 00:46.228 --> 00:48.394 security forces member , uh , so a lot 00:48.394 --> 00:51.479 of , you know , vehicle training , uh , 00:51.490 --> 00:53.323 nighttime operations , nighttime 00:53.323 --> 00:54.990 movements , uh , getting them 00:54.990 --> 00:57.046 comfortable with that . So then when 00:57.046 --> 00:59.379 they join our our larger group and , uh , 00:59.379 --> 01:01.601 they'll be on a level plane to where we 01:01.601 --> 01:03.879 can all , uh , start training together . 01:03.879 --> 01:06.046 Having a small group , having 7 people 01:06.046 --> 01:08.410 out here , uh , we got to see , you 01:08.410 --> 01:10.809 know , their , their normal positions 01:10.809 --> 01:13.370 as a fire team member and then , uh , I 01:13.370 --> 01:15.537 think we have one that was a fire team 01:15.537 --> 01:17.759 leader , uh , but getting them out here 01:17.759 --> 01:19.926 in a smaller group they're able to see 01:19.926 --> 01:22.092 the duties of the , you know , kind of 01:22.092 --> 01:24.259 person below them and the person above 01:24.259 --> 01:26.148 them . So , uh , we had brand new 01:26.148 --> 01:27.981 airmen out of tech school , uh , 01:27.981 --> 01:30.203 filling the role as a squad leader when 01:30.203 --> 01:32.203 it comes to mission planning . Uh , 01:32.203 --> 01:34.148 actually moving a squad , uh , out 01:34.148 --> 01:36.203 there in the field , so it was a , a 01:36.203 --> 01:38.639 great opportunity to get younger airmen 01:38.639 --> 01:41.209 exposed to those responsibilities that 01:41.209 --> 01:43.376 they may not hold right now , uh , but 01:43.376 --> 01:45.431 hopefully they'll strive for and and 01:45.431 --> 01:46.569 fill that position in the future .
