Maxwell Centennial Bash June 2
The city of Montgomery and Montgomery County Commission celebrate 100 years
of partnership with Maxwell Air Force Base with a Maxwell Centennial Bash
block party at Riverfront Park, June 2, 2-5 p.m. This is a free event and
open to the public. The Bash will feature live music by Colonial Revival,
food and arts and crafts vendors, plenty of children's activities, Maxwell
Honor Guard performance, car show, water rescue demonstration by Montgomery
fire department and much more. The first attempt at the Bash in April was
rained out, but city and base leaders felt this milestone was too
significant not to commemorate.
