MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- Senior Airman Yesenia Vasquez is a crew chief with the 908th Maintenance Squadron assigned to the isochronal unit. As an ISO inspector, Vasquez is responsible for a more detailed inspection of our aircraft. The finer details of the 908th’s technically complex aircraft can often require a fine-toothed comb when looking for minor issues that can lead to more serious problems.
The Georgia native has been with the 908th since 2017 and has been working full-time as an Active Reserve Technician since July of 2020. Vasquez said she initially joined because of the education opportunities and quickly grew to appreciate the camaraderie and sense of fulfilment that comes with serving in the military.
Vasquez is currently pursuing a degree in engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while still working full-time for the wing. On top of that, she is furthering her education by applying to the Space 100 course through Air University and said she has toyed with the idea of being a pilot as well.
In her free time, Vasquez sings, dances, plays guitar and ukulele, paints and studies Italian.
Vasquez is a highly motivated Reserve Citizen Airman whose pursuit of self-improvement and dedication to learning her craft make her an invaluable asset to the 908th and its mission.
