Airlift wing represents at host base awards

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- The 908th Airlift Wing recently participated in the 2013 Maxwell-Gunter Annual Awards Banquet. At the event, guest speaker Maj. Gen. Steven Kwast, commander of the LeMay Center, prompted a standing ovation for Nastassia Webster, representing her husband, Senior Airman Chance Webster.

Senior Airman Webster, a member of the 908th Security Forces Squadron, was deployed at the time of the banquet.

Kwast said Natassia was an example of what the awards event was all about, explaining winners had not achieved their accolades by themselves, but with the support of someone - family, friend, co-worker, or leader - behind them.

Staff Sgt. Shaniqua Rogers was also honored as Volunteer of the Year, selected from five nominees.
