During this time of COVID-19 we have been given an opportunity to operate in a different environment and take advantage of some unique training.  Although much of that training has been less hands-on and more distance learning, we have adapted and overcome so that we can continue to learn and grow in an atypical world.  We have been given another opportunity to apply available technology so that we can continue this pattern of growing our future leaders.

The Air Force offers associates degrees in many career fields for our members through the Community College of the Air Force.  Many of those credits are earned through Professional Military Education (PME) while others are earned through traditional learning environments from civilian colleges and universities.  Some of those credits can be transferred to your CCAF.  Many members of the 908th Airlift Wing have already obtained their CCAF degree.  For those who haven’t already earned it, there’s a good chance you only need one or two basic classes to finish your degree.  Here is a golden opportunity to get those last few courses for free so that you can further your career with a CCAF degree.  These classes are self-paced and free until 31 July 2020.  According to the link below, these classes are transferable to your CCAF.

-          Public speaking

-          English composition

-          Mathematics

-          Social science

-          Humanities

-          Principles of management

-          Human resource management

If you desire furthering your education past the CCAF, you can leverage that degree and take advantage of the AU-ABC program (link provided below). For those unaware, the AU-ABC program is a partnership between the USAF and other colleges to give you 60 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree.
