The river wild
Trainees fight against the current to reach a raft during water-survival training. Getting wet wasn’t the only challange. A 35-knot wind and a four-knot current played havok with the day's training. Swimmers were carried about 150 yards within a matter of moments and separate rescue rafts were torn loose from 50-pound cinder blocks. (Air Force photo by Gene H. Hughes)
