The river wild

Trainees fight against the current to reach a raft during water-survival training. Getting wet wasn’t the only challange. A 35-knot wind and a four-knot current played havok with the day's training. Master Sgt. Howard DeForest, first sergeant of the 908 Airlift Wing ASTS, presents a special C-130 tailfin plaque to Senior Master Sgt. Kenneth Wright in recognition by the First Sergeant Council for serving in that capacity for more than 10 years. Sergeant Wright spent most of his first sergeant tenure in ASTS and also with the wing MPF.
