MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- Master Sgt. Christopher Foote is the head of Security Forces training and readiness for the 908th Security Forces Squadron. Foote has been with the 908th since 2009 and will be retiring in June, after two decades of service.
Foote initially joined the Air Force after college, inspired by stories from his grandfather who served in the Army. As an active duty Airman at Scott Air Force Base, Foote started his career in security forces. Five years and four deployments later, Foote transitioned to the Air Force Reserve still at Scott. In 2009 Foote left Scott and came to Maxwell to work full time in his current position.
Over the course of his career, Foote said he most enjoyed his many opportunities to deploy. Being able to travel, collaborate with other members in the career field and actually put into practice all the things he’s trained are what Foote said made those deployments stand out.
Foote said it was most important for him to serve his country and support his wingmen, values he employs when he is ensuring his fellow security forces Airmen are highly trained and deployment ready.
In his free time, Foote enjoys woodworking, he built bedframes for everyone in his family with the tools he inherited from his grandfather.
Master Sgt. Foote will close out his 21 year career as a member of the 908th, his service to the Air Force and his country is greatly appreciated. We at the 908th wish Master Sgt. Foote continued success as he enters the civilian world in his retirement.
